Reefer Cargo Handling

An opportunity for your staff to gain an understanding of the basic operation of reefer containers, the types of functions and the general refrigerated cargo management operation. This course will be of interest to people in a range of functions including customer service, marketing, operations and container logistics.

The course will include:

  • How refrigeration works in a container
  • Logistics – the cold supply chain. Stages in the movement of reefer cargo 
  • Shipping company procedures before, during and after shipment and delivery 
  • Container yard inspection. This will be in the open so suitable clothing should be worn.
