Shipping Australia’s celebration of the 2025 IMO International Day for Women in Maritime!
The IMO International Day for Women in Maritime is observed on 18 May every year.
To mark the 2025 IMO International Day for Women in Maritime, Shipping Australia Limited (SAL) and the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA Australia) are delighted to invite you to a special panel lunch event on Friday, 23 May in Melbourne.
This year’s official IMO theme, “An Ocean of Opportunities for Women,” provides a timely and inspiring foundation for discussion – one that is echoed by the depth of experience and leadership within our 2025 speaker panel:
- Kylie McDonald – Harbour Master, Geelong Port
- Elisa Boughton – Branch Manager, International and Domestic Engagement, Australian Maritime Safety Authority
- Shane Walden – Managing Director, CMA CGM Group Agencies (Australia) Pty Ltd
The event will be open from 12pm with the panel discussion to start at 12:15pm until 1:30pm, leaving time for you to network. You will enjoy a delicious two-course meal with drinks at the beautiful RACV Melbourne City Club while listening to the insights shared by our panellists.
