Dr Marjorie O’Neill is the Member for Coogee and Parliamentary Secretary for Transport. She was elected in 2019 as the first woman to ever represent her seat.

Before entering politics Marjorie was a university academic, holding a PhD in Management Economics. She is a former Waverley Councillor and also served as Treasurer on the Board of the Local Government NSW Association.

In her free time, Dr O’Neill is a Volunteer Life Saver at Clovelly Surf Lifesaving club, is an avid sports fan, having played Rugby Union for Sydney University as well as representative rugby in NSW and California. She has also served on the Board of Sydney Women’s and NSW Women’s Rugby Boards.
