Shipping Australia Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Captain Melwyn Noronha as General Manager Technical Services and Industry Policy from today.
Captain Noronha is a master mariner class 1 with seagoing experience which includes master of capsize bulk ships. For the past 18 years he has been involved in maritime safety, security, maritime policy and administration in both government and private sectors.
“It is exciting to have a new staff member on the Shipping Australia team” chief executive officer, Rod Nairn said. “Captain Noronha brings with him a wealth of practical and maritime policy experience. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable in ensuring that Shipping Australia continues to engage effectively with government and maintains high quality support to our members.

Shipping Australia is working hard to represent members’ interests and to interface with maritime and government authorities in order to get the best outcomes for the shipping industry, the Australian economy and all Australians”, Rod Nairn said.
