Notice of lengthy and detailed waterfront industrial action has been given by the union for the Brisbane and Sydney container terminals operated by Patrick.
Patrick has stated that it is “greatly disappointed… the MUA has taken to targeting importers and exporters who are already facing significant hardship during the import peak season as consumers in Australia prepare for Christmas. The impact of the additional MUA industrial action will result in delays during this peak period”.
Patrick Terminals continues to work with customers to minimise the impact of this industrial action by the MUA. Our focus continues to be on supporting the Australian supply chain with an efficient and effective service that supports Australia’s economic recovery.

- Delays are forecast to extend to up to 2 days with the 24-hour stoppages across the first weekend in October
