Before you contact us, do you need a quote, help, or advice about importing / exporting something?

Shipping Australia is a trade association; we are not freight forwarders. We cannot give you a commercial price for, help you to, or provide advice on how to, import or export anything into or out of Australia.

Contact our friends at the International Forwarders & Customs Brokers Association of Australia for help.

JOB SCAMS: we will never ask you for money for the opportunity to work with us. We will never ask you for money to help you get a job in the shipping industry.

We are a small organisation and it is very rare for us to have a vacancy.

We only recruit from within Australia using established methods (Seek.com.au typically). We only recruit people who already have full working rights in Australia – we would never get you a visa from the authorities so that you can work for us.

We only recruit people who we have directly met at our offices and who are therefore known to us.

If you are discussing a job opportunity, or are being offered a job by someone claiming to represent Shipping Australia, and you have not met us in our offices in Sydney, Australia, then that person is not part of Shipping Australia.

If you are in that situation then you are not in discussion for a legitimate job with us. If such a person offers you a job then it is not a real job with us.

We also do not offer jobs in, or recruit for, the shipping industry, although we may post job adverts on their behalf from time to time. In such cases you would deal with the shipping company directly.
