United Salvage is an Australian-owned salvage and emergency response service provider. It specialises in emergency response, salvage, wreck removal, decommissioning and environmental support services throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
The company is based in New South Wales, with equipment bases including Port Hedland, Cairns, and Mackay.
The company retrieved containers lost overboard from the YM Efficiency in Newcastle, and removed the wrecked tugs, York Cove and Campbell Cove, in Devonport, Tasmania. United Salvage won the “Bulk & Specialised Shipping Award” in the 2022 DCN Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards for its wreck removal work at Devonport.
United Salvage managing director, Drew Shannon, commented “we believe that Australia has a social responsibility to manage, treat and recycle our own maritime industrial waste.
