AMSA adds that the review is taking place to support the review of Marine Order 54 (coastal pilotage) 2014.
The review will cover

- pilotage system: regulatory aspects; ability to deliver objectives; regulatory frameworks; compliance; best practices; vessel traffic services / pilot interactions; licencing frameworks
AMSA has engaged a third-party, South Maritime Solutions, to carry out the review.
