Svitzer’s Managing Director for Europe, Lise Demant, has resigned and will leave the company by the end of 2025. She has worked at Svitzer for nearly 13 years and with the A.P. Moller Group for 26 years.
“After nearly 13 years at Svitzer and 26 years within the A.P. Moller Group, Lise has decided it is time to pursue a new challenge. I want to thank Lise for all that she has contributed during her time with us,” said Svitzer’s CEO, Kasper Nilaus.
Demant will be succeeded by Arjen van Dijk, currently Managing Director for Svitzer in the Americas, who will take over on 1 January 2026.
In addition, Svitzer’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mattias Hellström, has stepped down.
“Mattias has been a highly valued colleague, and his departure is on good terms. We wish him the very best for the future,” says Nilaus.
The company has begun recruiting replacements for both the CCO and the Americas Managing Director positions.
Nilaus, said the company has strong leadership in place to maintain operations and support its ongoing strategy.
