MOL, TradeWaltz and Suzuki Sign MOU on India–Africa Car Trade

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), TradeWaltz and Suzuki Motor Corporation have announced Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on the automobile trade between India and Africa. The announcement was made at the TICAD 9 conference in Yokohama.

The companies will work on improving trade operations, including reducing reliance on manual document processing and exploring digital solutions, as well as promoting decarbonisation.

The MOU aligns with the Japan–India Cooperation Initiative for Sustainable Economic Development in Africa, aiming to strengthen supply chains and economic links between the two regions. MOL is expanding car transport services from India to Africa, TradeWaltz is researching trade digitalisation, and Suzuki supplies Indian-made compact vehicles to African markets.
