Just published: Shipping Australia’s Annual Review: 2025 in Review!

We have just published our latest Annual Review!

Every year in shipping is an amazing year! 2025 in Australia in international shipping was another heck of a ride!

A massive break bulk stevedoring strike ground to a halt in early 2025, and that was followed by a series of literal disasters in Queensland and WA. In turn that led to massive supply chain issues.

Then Shipping Australia worked with public servants to prevent the shut-down of the automotive industries, and we all faced massive price hikes from ports and regulators.

The ACCCs container stevedoring monitoring report made for interesting reading and there were numerous government meetings on productivity emergencies and much more.

On the international front, the big maritime trade and shipping stories have to be the Trump Trade Tariffs and the pressure exerted by the White House on the IMO Net Zero Framework.

Tragically, Red Sea disruption continued with commercial seafarers dying in deplorable attacks.

Find out more about these, and many other topics in our Annual Review! Just published!

Too many standards, too much red tape, not enough lifetime to deal with it
