ANL, COSCO and OOCL have launched a new Australia-China Express service

By Shipping Australia

ANL (part of the CMA CGM Group), COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co. (COSCO) and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) have joined forces to launch the China Australia Express (ACX) — a dedicated weekly express loop connecting China and Australia.

The A3 Consortium will now offer what it describes as “its most comprehensive port coverage” to and from North East Asia. The ACX service complements the existing Asia Australia A3 product, delivering weekly double calls at Qingdao and Shekou, and triple calls at Shanghai.

“This expansion of the A3 network supports our customers’ growth with additional capacity timed to the traditional peak season of the China–Australia trade,” ANL said in a statement.

The ACX service commences with its inaugural sailing from Qingdao on 27 July 2026 aboard the Colombo.
