Shipping Australia Queensland celebrates 2026 in style!

Shipping Australia Queensland’s 2026 Gala has been hailed as a great success, bringing together representatives from across Queensland’s shipping, maritime, transport and logistics sectors for a memorable evening of celebration and industry connection.

Held on 10 October, the Gala provided an opportunity for colleagues, customers and industry partners to step away from the day-to-day pressures of the sector and recognise the relationships and people that continue to underpin Queensland’s maritime community.

In his address to guests, Shipping Australia Queensland’s State Chair, Ajaz Mir, highlighted the importance of the industry coming together and acknowledged the organisations whose support helped make the evening possible.

“To all our sponsors and partners, thank you for your ongoing support. Your contribution extends far beyond tonight’s Gala and reflects your commitment to our industry, our people and the continued growth of Queensland’s shipping and logistics community.”

That support was led by Tyne Container Services and Tiger Containers as Presenting Partners, together with Platinum Sponsors ACFS and MCC, and Diamond Sponsor Qube.

The evening was also proudly supported by Silver Sponsors Svitzer, E. S. Randle & Co, Ace Waste, DP World, Arrow Transport, Poseidon Sea Pilots and Blue Water Shipping. Special acknowledgement went to JBS Australia, the Menu Package Sponsor, and B4U, the Prize Sponsor.

More than simply a social event, the Gala demonstrated the strength of the relationships that connect Queensland’s maritime and logistics sectors. The evening brought together people from across the industry in an atmosphere focused on celebrating shared achievements, strengthening connections and recognising the organisations and individuals who support the sector.

Following the success of this year’s event, attention is already turning to 2027. Shipping Australia Queensland has announced that the next Gala will take on a new theme, the“SAL Met Gala,” on 16 October 2027, promising another memorable occasion for the industry.

“The success of the 2026 Gala ultimately belonged to the wider industry community that supported it. From sponsors and partners to guests and contributors, their involvement once again demonstrated the collaborative spirit that continues to make Queensland’s shipping and logistics community so strong,” Mr Mir said.

Shipping Australia Queensland extends its sincere thanks to everyone who helped make SAL Gala 2026 such a successful and memorable evening.
