Port of Melbourne (PoM) has again been recognised as a GRESB Sector Leader. GRESB is an environmental, social and governance benchmark for infrastructure investments, which is used by more than 850 infrastructure funds and assets globally. According to GRESB, it helps asset investors, managers, and market participants connect sustainability performance with capital and asset decisions. It draws on more than 15 years of validated sustainability data from more that 150,000 real assets ac ross 70 markets, 41 property types and ten infrastructure sectors.
PoM retained its 5-star GRESB rating for the fifth consecutive year and achieved the maximum score of 100 points for the third year in a row. The result follows GRESB’s independent assessment of PoM’s policies, risk management and performance across more than 50 environmental, social and governance areas.
Port of Melbourne Chief Executive Officer Saul Cannon said, “We are proud to have retained our 5-star GRESB rating for a fifth consecutive year and achieved the maximum score of 100 points for the third year running. This sustained result reflects the commitment of our people and the value of strong partnerships across our operations. We will continue to pursue Net Zero by 2030 for our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while working with stakeholders and industry to drive practical progress across the port sector.”
