Australian Maritime College to recognise IFCBAA courses

Students of the ITALC and IFCBAA Diplomas of Customs Broking and Diploma of Freight forwarding may in the future be granted credit for the Australian Maritime College’s degrees, following an announcement earlier this week.

AMC has announced that it will assess and and recognise the IFCBAA programmes along with relevant industry experience.

This collaboration provides direct credit recognition between the organisation’s DCB and DIFF to the following AMC/UoT degrees:

These pathway credits not only recognise the DCB and DIFF qualifications, but also provide additional possible credits, based on proven specific industry experience.

A joint statement from the AMC and IFCBAA said that “this initiative enables qualified professionals to build on their existing expertise and advance their careers though further academic study. Eligible IFCBAA members and graduates may be assess for credit towards selected AMC / UTAS courses, helping to reduce duplication of learning and supporting ore efficient progression to degree qualification”.
