Optibook to launch at Patrick Terminals in Brisbane

Patrick Terminals and OneStop have announced the launch of OptiBook at Patrick Terminals – Brisbane AutoStrad Terminal on Saturday, 8 November 2025.

The container management system integrates with the OneStop Vehicle Booking System, which the companies say will improve operational efficiency and provide greater transparency across the landside supply chain.

“OptiBook provides Patrick Terminals customers with enhanced visibility of container status, expedited access to available containers and an improved slot booking process. The new system facilitates more efficient truck bookings for containers that have been discharged and deemed ‘ready’ while providing a transparent process for confirming truck slots,” a statement from the company reads.

OneStop and Patrick Terminals, hosted an OptiBook familiarisation workshop recently to provide an overview of the system’s functionality and to help prepare transport operators for the changeover. OneStop will also host two online session to provide guidance on how to use the platform.

  • Session 1: Thursday, 30 October from 1300 to 1400
  • Session 2: Wednesday, 5 November from 1300 to 1400

The launch has been scheduled for a Saturday (8 November) so as to minimise disruption in the pre-Christmas period, as “weekend operations are typically quieter than weekdays,” the company says.

OptiBook has been developed by OneStop in  consultation.

Sam Askin, CEO OneStop, said: “We are delighted to introduce the OptiBook platform at Patrick Terminals – Brisbane AutoStrad. This rollout marks another milestone in streamlining container transport management. OneStop looks forward to ongoing collaboration with Patrick Terminals and the broader transport industry to deliver more efficient and connected operations through seamless system integrations.”

Matt Hollamby, Terminal Manager – Patrick Terminals Brisbane AutoStrad, said: “We’re pleased to launch OptiBook at our Brisbane AutoStrad Terminal. This innovative system improves landside efficiency by providing real-time container visibility, smarter booking options and improving truck flow through our terminal. This initiative further strengthens our long-standing commitment to the landside, which remains a key source of competitive advantage for Patrick Terminals as we continue to drive operational excellence and industry collaboration.”
