Pilbara Ports released a new marine safety video designed to provide basic yet vital information to masters and crew of all vessels visiting Port Hedland.
The video highlights essential safety practices and operational requirements that support the safe conduct of vessel movements within the port.
The port operator recommends that vessel managers and operators should make the video available on board any vessels calling at the Port of Port Hedland and that all crew members are familiarised with the port safety requirements in advance of entry.
It is also recommended by the port operator that all masters, crew, owners, vessel managers, and operators should view the material before calling at Port Hedland.
“By watching and sharing this resource, vessel Masters and crew will be better prepared to safely and efficiently conduct operations at Port Hedland, ensuring smooth passage and reducing risks to people, the port, and the environment,” the port operator said in a statement.
