Quay Shipping Australia comes aboard Shipping Australia Limited

Shipping Australia Limited is pleased to welcome Quay Shipping Australia (Quay) as our newest full voting member.

Quay is an Australian owned shipping agency with offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Quay currently represents Sinotrans Container Line and Pacific Forum Line and provides comprehensive shipping and associated services using market-leading electronic initiatives.

“Shipping agencies can benefit greatly from the information and advocacy provided by Shipping Australia, and we are very pleased to become a member,” Quay managing director, Darren Dumbleton, said.

“It is challenging to comply with the complicated web of regulation for shipping visiting Australia. We pride ourselves on our expertise and knowledge, and strive to remain fully up to date with the requirements placed on the sector.”

Shipping Australia’s chief executive officer, Rod Nairn, recognised that “every new member makes our association stronger and better-placed to represent the industry in our interaction with governments, to promote good shipping policy.

“The experience that Quay brings from their dealings with border agencies and meeting the challenges of compliance, will certainly be valuable”, he concluded.

Editor’s note:

For additional information please contact Rod Nairn, on 0449 902 457.

Shipping Australia is a peak national shipping association comprising 35 member shipping lines and shipping agents that would be involved with over 70 per cent of Australia’s container and car trade, over 60 per cent of our break bulk and bulk trades and significant cruise ship and tug operations.
