Pia Synnerman has been appointed as the new Chief Customer Officer, as of 01 January 2023, at Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
“She has a strong track record of driving customer value and building leading commercial teams in a global environment. I am proud to welcome her into our Group Executive Management and confident that she is the right person for this role,” says President and CEO at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Lasse Kristoffersen.
Synnerman joined Wallenius Wilhelmsen in 2021 as Head of Sales to EMEA. She came from Ericsson where she has held various sales and commercial roles. She has extensive commercial experience transforming organizations to meet increasing demands, execute new strategies and improve performance. She has nearly 20 years of experience from international sales, both in Sweden, Russia and South Africa.
“I think we are in the midst of very interesting times for our industry. There are great opportunities ahead of us to drive the changes that are much needed, especially regarding sustainability,” says Synnerman.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen has over the last years become an integrated part of the customers supply chain and this has also changed how they interact with their customers. “The dialogue changes and we are regarded more as a partner to our customers. This requires change on our side – to be the best partner and adviser. I am looking forward to that journey,” says Synnerman.
