WISTA Australia now open for applications for its mentoring programme!

Applications are now open for WISTA Australia’s 2024 Mentorship Programme!

Are you an emerging industry professional? Or are you a seasoned, experienced, and thoughtful leader looking to grow and develop others?

Then why not connect via the WISTA Australia Mentorship Programme, designed to connect Mentees with experienced Mentors for a period of six months.

WISTA Australia, the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (Australia), is the Australian national organisation of WISTA International, the global organisation connecting female executives and decision-makers around the world.

Key highlights: 

– Online networking events
– Educational webinars
– Panel discussions
– One-on-one mentorship meetings
– Goal-setting and regular catch-ups with mentors

Anyone interested in becoming a Mentor should have a strong background in maritime-related sectors such as shipping, trading, logistics, or other relevant field. Mentors must also be passionate about supporting and empowering women in the industry and hold a genuine interest in furthering the career development of WISTA Australia Members. Mentors will typically be mid to senior level career professionals (i.e. 15+ years experience) and share WISTA Australia’s values and objectives.

Mentees need to be Full Members of WISTA Australia and will be looking for guidance, support and professional develop opportunities within the maritime industry or other related sectors such as shipping, trading and logistics. Mentees are usually early to mid-career professionals, students, or individuals looking to transition into the maritime sector.

Applications close on 31 May 2024 and the official kick-off of the programme is Tuesday 11 June 2024.
