By Shipping Australia

Australian agency and shipping service provider CoastalBridge Agencies has joined Shipping Australia as a full member!

Focused on representing shipping lines working in Australia, CoastalBridge offers a range of agency services to vessel owners and operators.

Services include owner agency, vessel husbandry, cargo owners agency, equipment control and management, vessel allocations, supply chain and trade route analysis, documentation, finance reporting, regulatory reporting, landside logistics, project cargo, oversize freight, and many more.

The company offers operates the TFS RoRo service – that’s three pure car carriers deployed on a 42-day voyage to create a loop with a fortnightly frequency. Ports of call on the service comprise the Japanese ports of Osaka, Nagoya and Yokohama, the Australian ports of Bribane, Port Kembla and Melbourne, and the New Zealand ports of Auckland, Lyttelton and Nelson.

CoastalBridge is ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certified. ISO 9001 is one of the world’s most widely used and internationally-recognised quality management system. Organisations certified to the ISO 9001 standard have proved they can consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Andrew Maguire, Managing Director CoastalBridge Agencies, commented, “this partnership underscores our unwavering commitment to upholding the highest industry standards, innovation, and sustainable practices, while providing enduring value to our loyal customers and principals.”

James Kurz, Director, CoastalBridge Agencies, said: “we are thrilled to announce our membership of Shipping Australia. With over 30 years’ experience in the Shipping Line Agency business, we understand the value of collaborating with key industry bodies such as Shipping Australia.”

Shipping Australia CEO, Captain Melwyn Noronha, enthusiastically welcomed CoastalBridge as a new member. “Every member strengthens Shipping Australia as the voice of ocean going shipping sector and members of related industries. But, more importantly, because a highly-functioning ocean shipping industry enables and boosts economic activity, a broadly-represented industry can be successful in advocating for policies that benefit all the people of Australia.

“We have long enjoyed working alongside CoastalBridge – Mr Kurz has long held the position of Chair of the Shipping Australia Victoria State Committee – and we look forward to a continued strong relationship CoastalBridge,” Captain Noronha said.

Shipping Australia is an industry association representing Australia’s international ocean shipping sector. We have 75 members, which includes ocean shipping companies, shipping agents, port and terminal operators, lawyers, salvors, and more. Shipping Australia members handle nearly all of Australia’s container trade and a considerable volume of our bulk commodities and vehicle import trades. Our members employ more than 3,000 Australians.
