Australian Maritime College (AMC) offers MBA in Maritime Management designed for those who seek to acquire specific management skills and knowledge appropriate for the maritime industry. It aims to produce inter-culturally competent graduates who are able to contribute to the sustainability of the maritime industry in senior decision-making roles. The course offers two intakes a year and has flexibility to study either full time or part time, on campus or distance. It is a nested course with Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma available for choice as well.

The maritime industry is at the forefront of international trade for sustainable development and is an exciting, dynamic, and challenging industry in which to work. The MBA course in AMC provides a unique educational experience with a focus on an applied approach to the maritime industry, centered on strategic and analytical thinking. The MBA provides industry focused learning outcomes by applying business principles such as management and finance to the maritime industry, and a strategic perspective to international issues relating to maritime management.
The MBA in Maritime Management (P7H) has three specialisations: Maritime Logistics, Maritime Technology, and Shipping Operations. The specialisations allow you to explore the theory and practice of business logistics and supply chain management, business operations and technology in the context of maritime industry. The specialisations provide opportunities for you to apply managerial expertise in different sectors of the maritime industry.
The MBA in Maritime Management (MBAMarMgt) includes the following options:
• 2-year (16 unit) MBAMarMgt – this is the default course option for students who have not completed prior study or work experience in a related (cognate) area.
• 1.5-year (12 unit) MBAMarMgt – this is the default course option for students who have completed prior study or work experience in a related (cognate) area.
A cognate undergraduate degree would be in the same or related area eg, maritime management, logistics management, supply chain management, nautical science, marine engineering, maritime engineering (naval architecture, ocean engineering), and business management; or any Bachelor degree with a major in business, logistics management, and supply chain management.
Cognate industry experience would be in the fields of maritime, transport, logistics and supply chain.

The Graduate Diploma of Maritime Management (P6H) provides practical and applied knowledge suitable for both higher level professional and managerial roles. The course comprises eight units which will help you develop a holistic and analytical perspective of the industry and equips you to develop solutions for complex issues faced by both domestic and international maritime business activities.
