Employing over 4,000 people across 60 countries, Oldendorff’s eco fleet includes a variety of sizes such as Handysize, Supramax, Panamax and Capesize, among others.

Ben Harper, director, Oldendorff, commented upon the company’s new membership.

“Our firm commitment with the Australian shipping landscape becomes stronger after joining SAL. As a global ship owner and operator, we are looking forward to sharing our vision and adding value to the Australian industry as well as establishing open communication channels with local companies. It is our responsibility to keep abreast of not only changes in Australian ports but also in regional and national legislations”, Harper said.

Shipping Australia CEO, Rod Nairn, was enthusiastic about their new member.

“Oldendorff Carriers is a well-known, long-standing and major international shipping company. With a large fleet, and interests across a range of sectors, the company brings significant experience and expertise to Shipping Australia. Oldendorff also helps to further diversify our membership which enhances our ability to represent all sectors of the international shipping industry and to promote good shipping policy,” Nairn said.
